Terms of Use
Effective date: August 7, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by American Automation Supply (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including our product catalog and quote-request tools (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. What this Site is
The Site is an online catalog that lets you browse industrial automation and electrical components and submit quote requests. It is not an e-commerce checkout. We do not take payment on the Site, and nothing on the Site is a binding offer to sell at any listed price or quantity.
A sale occurs only if we issue a written quotation (or other written confirmation) and you accept it under the terms stated in that quote. Order-specific terms (price, availability, freight, lead time, payment, warranty, and returns) are set in the quotation and related sales documents, which control over these website Terms if there is a conflict.
2. Catalog information
Product names, part numbers, descriptions, images, brands, categories, quantities, and any prices shown on the Site are for general reference. They may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Stock levels and pricing change. Final availability and price are confirmed only in a formal quote.
Images may be manufacturer stock photos or examples and may not depict the exact unit you receive. Specs and datasheets linked from third parties are provided for convenience; verify critical specifications with the manufacturer before use.
3. New, surplus, and used goods
We may offer new, surplus, excess, or previously owned industrial parts. Condition and provenance vary by item. You are responsible for determining fitness for your application, including any safety, regulatory, or warranty requirements of the end use or original equipment manufacturer.
Unless expressly stated in writing in our quote, surplus and used items are sold as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. Quote requests
When you submit a quote request, you agree to provide accurate contact and requirement information. We may contact you by email, phone, or other means you provide. Submitting a request does not create an obligation for either party to buy or sell.
Do not submit unlawful, abusive, or confidential third-party information you are not authorized to share. You grant us permission to use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry and to operate our business.
5. Intellectual property and brands
The Site’s design, text, logos (other than third-party marks), and compilation of content are owned by American Automation Supply or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape, or republish the Site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent, except for ordinary browsing and sharing links for legitimate purchasing inquiries.
Manufacturer names, trademarks, and part numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Use of those marks does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless we expressly say so.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download catalog data with bots except as allowed by public search engines under our robots rules
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site or other users’ access
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when requesting quotes
7. Privacy
We collect information you provide (such as name, email, phone, and quote details) and ordinary technical data needed to run the Site (such as logs and cookies required for security or session function). We use that information to respond to inquiries, operate and improve the Site, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
If you have privacy questions, contact us using the details below.
8. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to manufacturer datasheets, third-party sites, or services (for example hosting, email, or analytics providers). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or availability. Your use of those sites is at your own risk and may be subject to their terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SITE AND ALL INFORMATION ON IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AMERICAN AUTOMATION SUPPLY AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON CATALOG INFORMATION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, certain liability for fraud or personal injury where such limits are prohibited).
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless American Automation Supply and its owners, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. For material changes, we may also provide notice on the Site.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which American Automation Supply maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where a different rule is required by applicable law. Venue for disputes arising from these Terms or the Site shall lie in the state and federal courts serving that principal place of business, except where prohibited by law.
